Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all are enjoying this holiday season. I hope that you are spending time with loved ones and eating some wonderful food. But most of all, I hope you are all happy, healthy, and doing well.

For the first time in my life, I have spent Christmas with the people that have raised me to be the person that I am. I had been waiting for a time like this for so long and I couldn’t be happier than I am right now. It feels almost too surreal for words.

Yesterday, I posted Books of Christmas Past in honor of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. Today, I wanted to continue on with Books of Chritmas Present, where I list the books I got for Chritmas this year and give thanks to the people that have been so important and special in my life.

To family and friends, thank you so much for always being there. There are some things that leave me speechless, and your endless love and support for my literary endeavors and for who I am as a human being is one of those things. Just know that you all mean the world to me.

To those of you that have shared your support of my blog in any way, know that you are awesome. Being a baby blogger is a scary experience, but when I see all the support that surrounds me, the scary feeling lightens. Thank you so much! I hope to get to know you all better soon.

Without further delay, let’s get on to the books!

The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett by Chelsea Sedoti

So, technically, this book wasn’t a Christmas gift, but I am treating it like one, because I got it in the mail earlier this week because I won this quirky read from a giveaway. Shout out to the lovely Krysti Meyer @ Ya & Wine for hosting it! Her blog is absolutely lovely and creative with wine pairings for all our favorite ya reads. Thank you so much!

Tricks by Ellen Hopkins

I was so happy to see this book under the tree. I love Ellen Hopkins books and I am so glad that I got this book to add to my collection.

Replica by Lauren Oliver

Ahhhhhh… Ever since I heard whispers of this books release I wanted it in my hands. Such a unique concept mixed with a beautiful cover and great reviews…. I’m all in on this book!

Sea Spell by Jennifer Donnelly

This book is probably the most perfect book that I recieved for Christmas, simply because I recieved the first three books in this series for Christmas last year and because I have been putting off reading “Dark Tide” till I could have the last book in the series in my hands.

Rebel Angels and The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray

These two beauties were found forsaken in a thriftstore without the first book to complete the trilogy. So while, I may not be able to read these till I can find the first book, I am happy to have them in my possession.

Jane by April Lindner

“Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Brontë is one of my favorite classics. So it is not much of a suprise that I had to pause a moment to appreciate my family for bringing me a retelling of it! I can’t wait to devour this one.

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

‘Tis the season of getting some of my most wanted books under the tree. I am so excited for this one! This book is definitely high up on my tbr.

Made for You by Melissa Marr

I felt really upset at myself for not having heard about this book before I found it in my hands. Especially because it’s from an author I have been wanting to read from for a very long time. Such an interesting sounding thriller with some romance to spice things up, I am excited and intrigued to read this novel.

Venom by Fiona Paul

Mystery surrounds this one and I love it! I needed a good romance in my life and this one looks like it will be it. Another addition I was pleasantly surprised to see, that I hadn’t heard anything about before now.
Free to Fall by Lauren Miller

A sci-fi where everyone’s decisions are made by an app? Count me in! I hadn’t heard of this one before and I am so glad it was gifted to me. I wonder how this book could translate to how things are now? So many possibilities. So much wonder. I want to read this soon.

I feel so blessed at this moment. I have so many lovely books to get to reading and so much hope for a glorious 2017. I’m so excited to see what worlds these stories bring.

Thank you so much for reading. Let me know in the comments what books you recieved for Christmas or let me know if you have read any of these novels and what you thought of them. Much love to you all! Have a wonderful day that will lead to a wonderful year that will lead to a wonderful life.

-Till next time!
