*CUE EPIC INTENSE MUSIC*

The time has come. My knuckles have been cracked, my armor is on, my eyes wide open. Fingers at the ready to request all books that my eyes see.

I have books to read, time limits to uphold, and percentages to keep up. I have no time for leasure. No time for food and no time for sleep. All that matters is reaching the mountaintop of 80% and I will reach that goal and I am going to do it in 1 month!

Here is my current percentage:

Here are my current titles:

Here is my challenge:

In the month of March, I Tiana Wolfe, solemnly swear to read every single book listed here before the months end. (As well as a book called The Enemy Within that I was asked by the author to review XD)

Until I read each and every one of these books I am hearby banned from watching all YouTube videos, movies (unless it’s watching a film with my family, family first always) , and anime. I am also not alowed to play any games at all except to collect daily bonuses.

The only other thing I am allowed to do is homework, writing (lol I wish I was writing more), blog posts (You know I can’t give up my daily posting streak, this is my life!), Exersize (Seriously need to do more of this, although I’ve been doing better about it), and the daily necessary fellow blogger reading and support time that feeds this lovely blogging community.

I am also not alowed to request any new books, no matter how tempting until the first four books necessary have been read and reviewed.

Upon violation of the rules above or failure to complete by March 31st, I will be forced to delete my NetGalley portfolio and start over from scratch… That’s right folks I will be deleting my Netgalley account if I cannot properly commit to it. (I have no intention of doing this and so these rules will be kept, in the end this is for my own good.)

And so, Ladies and Gentlemen, let the games begin!
Thanks for reading! I honestly don’t know why I do stuff like this to myself, this goal is definitly obtainable, but lately I’ve been a bit lazy to read and I need some extra motivation to push me forward. I think this challenge will be a lot of fun and honestly these books all sound amazing so none of this is a chore. This was the best way I could think of to hold myself accountable for my goals and to get myself off of YouTube (It is literally sucking my life away.)  Also take this as my March tbr. I’m definitly reading all the books on my tbr this month. If you are thinking of doing a challenge like this let me know! I’d love it for you to join me! As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments!

-Till next time!

  1. Goddamn, your Netgalley shelf is so tidy! I’ve got a post going up about what’s on my NG shelf and it’s one big hot mess in comparison to this! I’ve had 100 books approved so far, and about 1/3 of them are sat on my shelf still…

    1. Lol 😂 I just started so I don’t have as many approvals yet, I joined in January so that would be why, but I feel the need to push through and read all these books quickly so that everything is easier for me to do in the future. I will probably end up with a messier shelf in the future though for sure… at least I kinda hope so.

  2. I love this! My Netgalley percentage is currently only 42% so I too have put a ban on requesting more until I get my percentage up. I did well in January but didn’t read anything from ng in Feb, so I have some work to do! I have 30+ on my shelf though so you’re more restrained than me. Thanks for sharing!

    1. I’m not even going to look at any netgalley books that are not on my shelves, they are way too tempting. My hope is that so long as I have the threat of deleting my netgalley I will be a good book-blogger and exercise good self-control.

  3. Good luck with your challenge! I remember being so proud when my ratio finally got up to 80%! Granted it’s been hovering around there ever since. I wonder if I’ll ever get it to 100%? Ha, probably not with all the great books that keep coming out.

    1. Thank you! I don’t think I will ever get to 100 because like you said too many amazing books keep coming out. It’s really admirable that you have been able to keep your percentage so high! I hope that by the end of the month I will be able to have the same!

          1. You’re welcome! Plus, you never know, some of these might be some really fast reads and that will help it all pass by quickly! I’ve had a few surprises like that recently and it’s made a nice difference. 🙂

          2. I do have a poetry book among the books I’m going to be reading so, that should be a faster read, it is definitely visibly shorter on my kindle so that one will probably only take a day or so. That will be a huge help!

    1. It sucks, but I have to give up YouTube for more then just this challenge. I kept trying to only do a few videos everyday, but it ended up consuming all my time. It made it so that I didn’t do the things that I really wanted to do like write and even if I made time to read it was never as much as I wanted to either. So, I had to make myself accountable on the internet to do something healthy for myself, I just hope that I can stick with it!

  4. I’m honestly so terrible at keeping my NetGalley shelves clean. I often end up going on request sprees and requesting a TON of books, and then getting approved for ones that turn out to be not to my liking. My DNF pile on NetGalley is embarrassingly big.

But maybe I should take a leaf out of your book and try to be a bit better at it 😀

    1. It is really easy to go on requesting sprees, I find myself wanting to do that more times then not, but I am definitely excited to be doing this to make things a bit easier on myself in the future. It sucks that you’ve ran into so many books that you have disliked, I ran into a poetry book on there recently that I didn’t like very much, but I forced myself to finish it because it was so short. I hope it all gets better in the future! 😊✌️
