Three facts about me!

  1. I almost exclusively watch video game tubers on YouTube plus Buzzfeed
  2. I got two poems published in the 5th grade that my mom submitted without telling me
  3. I almost never drink something that isn’t milk, coffee, or water

Brilliantly Bookish Questions:

1. Have you read I’ll give you the sun by Jandy Nelson? If yes, what did you think about it?

Sadly no, but I’ve heard great things about it!

2. Is there a book you wish had never been written?

Mein Kampf, Hitler should have never written a book. Imagine how much history might have changed if he didn’t?

3. What book would you recommend to me?

I would reccomend A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly. Simply because I think all book lovers could appreciate the book love in this book!

4. Do you have a reading goal for 2017?

Yep! My Goodreads goal is 60 books and I’ve read 19 so far, a bit slow but for some reason I’ve been pretty slow about books except for some great spurts this year.

5. Random: What is a random word you really like?

Flabbergasted. I don’t know why I love it but I do!

Lil Book Lovers Questions:

1. What is one reading habit that bugs you?

My habit of having long reading slumps then binging right after. It isn’t healthy.

2.  If you could be best friends with one fictional character, would who it be?

I would be best friends with The red haired Night Circus twins Widget and Poppet. You can’t be best friends with one and not the other and I just think we would go on lots of amazing and wonderful adventures!
3. Who was the biggest author that you’ve met? Who was the biggest author that you gotten a signed book from?

I’ve never met a big author before, but the biggest author that I have a signed book from is Kiersten White the book author of And I Darken.

4. What is your favorite TV show to binge watch?

Doctor Who for sure! I miss watching that so much. I haven’t watched it sense Matt Smith had to leave because I didn’t want to imagine the story without him.

5. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you?

I was at IKEA eating some food and there were these really low hanging lights and stupid me, when I got up to go to the restroom my head went into the lamp and hit the light bulb. There was a guy sitting at the table next to us with his girlfriend and he started howling with laughter. It was embarrassing, but also hilarious.

Royal Reader Questions:

1. What is the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?

I do a lot of spontaneous things so I have no idea what I’ve done that’s most spontaneous, but one thing was that I decided to join a group of little kids singing frozen with a mariachi group at the zoo. This was about a year and half ago or so.

2. If you could suddenly be an expert in any field at all, what would it be and why?

Botany, if I could know everything there was to know about herbs and plants and their poisons and healing properties I might find the cure to heal hundreds of ailments.

3. Where is your favourite place to write your blog posts?

On the couch, that’s where I end up writing most of my posts somehow.

4. If you could spend the day with your biggest inspiration, who would it be and what would you do? (Can be anyone at all, famous or not, living or passed on).

I would spend my day with Sarah J. Maas one of my newest inspirations as I have so many. We would enjoy a brunch in the morning and talk about writing and books and that would take so long that we would spend the entire day just eating and talking.

5. Weird: If you were to run away and join the circus (non-animal using circus only), would you either be a trapeze artist, a fire-eater, a tight-rope walker or a unicyclist?

I would be a trampolinist if that’s even a word, but all Circus artists can do multiple things so I would learn a bit of everything from everyone.

Curiouser and Curiouser Questions:

1. Why did you start a blog?

I started my blog mostly because my sister told me to. I didn’t have any place to talk about books and blogging became that awesome place for me. It is one of the things I’m most proud of in this life.

2. What are you most proud of in your life?

Didn’t see this one coming. Above I say my blog is one of the things I am most proud of in my life and it is 100% true. I don’t think I’ve ever been more dedicated to anything then I have been to this blog.

3. What’s the last film you watched and did you enjoy it?

The Secret Life of Pets was the last movie I watched and I did really enjoy it. I need lighthearted things to keep me smiling especially when other parts of my life aren’t looking up.

4. If you could have any super power, what would it be?

The power to heal or to talk to animals. Somehow I will find a way to convince you all that talking to animals is more useful, somehow.

5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I have no clue. My life has been turned so upsidedown so quickly that I can’t imagine where I’ll be even for the next day.

Bionic Bookworm Questions:

1. What is your favourite book to movie adaptation?

The Giver, I love the book and I love the movie. It is a win win either way.

2.  What are your 3 favourite book covers?

There are so many amazing covers out there that it is so hard to choose, but I love the cover for Ink by Alice Broadway somehow I find that cover to be perfection!

3. What is your favourite and least favourite genre?

My favorite genre is fantasy and by least favorite is text books. Text book writing is horrible and leaves so much out and no one likes to read them.

4. What is your most anticipated book release for 2017?

Right now: A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. I know I won’t be able to read it right away, but I can’t wait to have it in my hands!

5. Weird question: If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would go to Ireland to enjoy the landscape and the culture. It would be such a peaceful place to go. Peace is exactly what I need.

Blame it on Chocolate Questions:

1. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate? Be honest.

Milk chocolate 100%. I grew up going to pep boys and buying Hershey’s MilkChocolate. White chocolate sometimes makes my stomach ache and dark chocolate tastes too bitter for me.

2. The first fictional character you ever fell in love with?

I don’t remember. I’ve been falling in love with fictional characters since I was a little girl. It feels as though I’ve always fell for fictional characters with no true beginning or end.

3. If you could talk to someone who’s already passed away, who would it be and what would you talk about? (Not counting family members or friends)

Edgar Allen Poe, a teacher of mine assured me that this would probably be a bad choice, but I really want to be there as he writes poetry and speak with him only if it’s not too much to ask.

4. You discovered a new planet. What do you name it and why?

Dishcabib because it was one of the first random words to come to my mind.

5. Weird: A genie will grant you the thing you want most in the world, but you will lose the thing you are most proud of/most treasure about yourself in the process. Would you still accept the wish?

No I will not accept because I feel like I appreciate the things I worked hard for and not so much what is handed to me. Plus I really don’t feel like giving up my blog which is something I am immeasurably proud of.

Not So Phamous Questions:

1. If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Quesadillas there are so many ways you can make them and they almost always taste delicious.

2. What were you doing three hours ago?

Designing The Raven Book Crate shipping box!

Look at it, It’s beautiful!

3. What is your favorite word? Least favorite?

Least favorite word is grating, it physically hurts me. A favorite word is alabaster for some reason it sounds beautiful to me.

4. What is your biggest fear?

My biggest fear is of loneliness or truly losing my family. My heart would break and I couldn’t handle it.

5. What is the biggest lie you ever told someone?

It wouldn’t be my biggest lie if I told you, would it?

Melting Pots and Other Calamities Questions:

1. Have you ever checked out a hyped book/movie/TV show/other type of fiction, and did you enjoy it?

I love hyped books! Seeing so many passionate people reading something makes me want to read it too!

2. What is your favorite fandom? I don’t mean the show or book itself, but the group of people involved.

The Supernatural fandom. The memes and quotes from this show are priceless. You can find a gif for anything from supernatural!!

3. Give two of your favorite quotes, one funny, and the other inspirational.

4. While writing your posts, do you have writer’s block, and if so, what kind is it? Like, do you have trouble coming up with ideas, or do you lack motivation?

Most of the time if I am out of inspiration for a post I write poetry because it brings out a different sort of creativity in me. As for motivation my passion for this blog and my love for books makes it so that I have a need to post everyday or I feel unfulfilled.

5. (Funny question). Name something you loved as a kid. Do you still like it on occasion?

As a kid I loved the color pink. Everything I owned had to be pink and it was just a part of who I was. However, later on my favorite color went to black and then blue and now I love all covers with a special place in my heart for Tardis blue and a dash of pink.

The Uncharted Word Questions:

1. Do you have a favorite YA trope that you love (or maybe even tolerate) more than others?

Honestly I don’t mind cliches all that much. Cliches make for some enjoyable stories and I love it. I think this stems from my belief that no idea is ever truly wholly original it’s how you put it together with your own twist that matters.

2. How often do you buy books?

As often as I can which usually means once or twice a month, but if it were possible I would never leave the book store.

3. Do you take off the book jackets while you’re reading or do you leave them on?

I take them off. They are always beautiful, but also fragile so I like to preserve them as much as I can.

4. Besides WordPress, where do you go to find recommendations for new books?

Goodreads, twitter, even Instagram I get book recommendations from everywhere out there I can.

5. Random Question: If it were possible, which movie (or TV show) would you transport yourself into to be part of the cast?

Let’s get real, it’s either supernatural or doctor who and there’s no way for me to choose.

The Hermit Librarian Questions:

1. What’s the one Disney song you can never get out of your head?

Let it Go…

2. If you could only gift one book to everyone this coming holiday season, what would it be?

A Northern Light, I’m making it a point to try and read it every Christmas and I’d love to give that book to all my loved ones.

3. If you had to choose: Twitter or Facebook?

Twitter I don’t even have a Facebook.

4. What book have you read recently that surprised you by how much you liked/disliked it?

I haven’t really been that surprised about my feelings towards a book recently. I have been on a reading slump recently due to life.

5. If you had to choose: would you rather be able to design your favorite books covers OR cast their film adaptation?

Design my favorite book covers! Casting is such a big thing and I don’t feel like I would do that well, but covers are a whole lot of fun to design and create!

Didi Oviatt Questions:

1. What is your #1 favorite genre to read?

2. Have you ever stalker watched a Netflix series like a crazed maniac? If so Which one?

Uhhh yes!!!! I watched the first 5 or so seasons of Bones on a major binge that spread over 2 months of obsession.

3. Do you have a favorite dish to cook, or a go to?

I don’t like to cook that much which is weird because I work making food.

4. Do you ever have dreams that you can either fly or breath under water?

I definitely have had a flying dream and it was amazing! I was a superhero and there was a villain that kept zapping me out of the air and it was exhilarating yet terrifying.

5. Which social media platform do you spend the most time on? (blog doesn’t count)

Twitter and I don’t really spend much time on that. (My blog takes the cake 100%)

KaylaBooks, Boxes, and Baubles questions:

1. Dogs or Cats or Hamsters and why?

How about all of them living in harmony with a rabbit? They are all too cute! You can’t make me decide… you simply can’t!

2. If you could live in any period and any place in time when and where would it be?

How about the 1920’s? Life is flashing all around you, the music is lovely, and I could dance my nights away!

3. What is the last book you hated and why?

I’ve never felt such hatred for a main character, I do not appreciate or approve his actions, plus this book is hits hard, but in a bad way, definitely not my taste.

4. Favorite author and favorite book (not necessarily by the same author)?

Julie Kagawa a.k.a The Queen of fantasy and The Giver a.k.a the book that made me feel more then I ever felt and lead me into a whole new world of books.

5. What is something you wish people knew about you?

I wish people knew that I wasn’t the best at communicating verbally. I wish people knew that for normal outside of a classroom situation type of talking freaks me out. I wish people knew that I am a huge over thinker and if I share too much or say something off the wall or sound rude it comes from insecurity. I don’t know how you will react to me so I actdefensive  and my words get mixed up. I don’t mean to push away, but on the inside I get really scared.

6. How long have you been blogging?

About 4 and a half months! It’s been some of the most wonderful and amazing months of my life!

7. What is your favorite type of character in a book?

I don’t come by The nerd often, but when I do I smile. These characters have a special place in my heart.

8. What is your favorite TV show?

Intense, spooky, and captivating. Need I say more?

9. What is your favorite holiday? Why?

Nothing lifts my spirit like Christmas does, nothing! It’s one of the few holiday that truly makes me believe in magic.

10. What 3 famous/fictional people, living or dead, would you want at your fantasy dinner party?

Jesus, Morpheus (from Splintered), and Charlotte Bronte. You can make your own judgement about how this dinner party goes.

11. What’s your pet peeve(s)?

When girls take off their heels before getting into the car or being at home. I see this all the time. Yes, heels hurt. Yes, I know most people do this. It simply bothers me. I know before I put heels on that it is going to be a pain and I know it looks worse just carrying them in my hands walking barefooted with sandals on. We wear heels for a reason, taking them off and complaining about them ruins it.

SophieBlame it on Chocolate questions:

1. Would you prefer to have a job you loved and earn less or one you hated but earned more?

My dream is to be a writer. You don’t write because you think money, fame, or fortune will follow. You write because their is something in your soul that needs to be shared. It is an ache within you that will break you unless you release it into the world.
2. If you could bring one extinct animal back, what would it be?

The Dodo bird! Cumbersome, but so cute. I really wish they still existed.

3. What’s more appealing to you, living in a past era or in the future?

How about a non-exsisting mixture of both? Steampunk as an era is just so appealing to me.

4. Do you usually go for the painful truth or blissful ignorance?

The only way to change is if you acknowledge the truth of how the world is now. To truly be positive, you must live through the negative.

5. Do you have any weird habits that freak everyone out?

My favorite sauce is BBQ Sauce and two things I put it on that makes people uncomfortable is rice and vegetables. It honestly makes everything taste so good!

6. Do you usually wear bright clothes or neutral ones?

I wear mostly neutral colors, but I have an affinity for the bright ones. I feel like I will wear more bright colors after I loose some weight around my middle. Neutral colors are great for looking thinner then you are.

7. If you had to see through tinted lenses for the rest of life, what color would they be?

A light blue. I feel like the world would look a bit less harsh that way.

8. Do you trust your instincts/are impulsive or do you prefer to calmly examine the situation before you?

I am definitely way more of a person of instinct. Everything I do, including what I blog is based on a whim. I believe that everything will work out the way they were meant to and usually that is how things end up to be.

9. If you had to choose to live with only two senses, which would they be? (Touch, smell, taste, sight…)

Hearing and sight, in order for me to live in my greatest loves in life I need to be able to see the world and to hear its music. Plus if I can’t taste, feel, or smell, I could eat anything… including healthy food and would never complain about the taste or texture of it again.

10. When someone says you can’t do something, do you go and do it just to prove them wrong or do you just ignore them?

Nothing is more empowering then this.

11. Would you go on the Mars One mission, a once in a lifetime experience, even if it meant never returning to Earth and never seeing your loved ones again?

The red giant may be beautiful. Space is even more so, but I have no desire to leave behind those I love to step foot on it.

Krysti Ya and Wine questions:

1. If you could have a glass of wine with any author, living or dead, who would it be?

Julie Kagawa of course! I have so many questions for her. The way she writes is beautiful and I want to know how she continuously stays inspired. As I have previously said, she is the queen of fantasy! I would love to meet and speak with someone who inspires the love of creation in me and so many others.

2. Which debut novel are you most looking forward to in 2017?

The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas is a novel about a topic close to my heart. The Black Lives Matter movement is something that we need not be afraid to talk about. I have yet t0 read this book, but I am so excited to read it soon!

3. What book are you head-over-heels in cover love with?

AND I DARKEN!!! Looking at the cover digitally does not do it justice. I was lucky enough to win a signed hardcover copy of this book this month and I cannot describe how beautiful this book is in person. Gorgeous!

3. Which author have you been most excited about interacting with online?

Diana Anderson-Tyler!! She has been one of the kindest people I have ever gotten the chance to speak with and she is such an inspiration to me. I never expected to be able to speak with her and now that I have she is honestly one of my favorite people.

4. If you could write your own novel, what genre would it be?

If!?!? Why is this phrased like a hypothetical question? Why am I breaking down slowly because of it… I’m a writer… I swear… I write stuff. Ahhh!

I am currently writing a Fantasy book, but I am also writing a contemporary. Honestly I have ideas for novels in almost ever genre. I can’t seem to choose just one of anything!

5. I REALLY liked Mandy’s question about “what authors are instal-buys for you?” So yeah, that one!

Julie Kagawa (didn’t see that one coming… did ya?), Jennifer Donnelly, A.G. Howard, Laini Taylor, (if I finally got a Sarah J. Maas book in my hand I would have been able to put her here), Ellen Hopkins, Erin Morgenstern (I cry that she’s only written The Night Circus! I need more from her), Dawn Kurtagich, Diana Anderson-Tyler, Samantha Shannon, Cassandra Clare (desperately trying to collect her books in order to binge read them), Libby Bray…. etc. etc.

6. What series are you currently following that you never want to end?

Storm and Silence!!! Please, please, please, please, please never end!! I need this series to go on forever. It is just too good!

7. Who is your best book bae?

8. Share a link to one of your favorite blog posts that you’ve done.

Books of Christmas Past, Present, and Future!

I’m so proud of these three! It is a tradition I hope to continue on for the rest of my life. I’m so happy with how each of these came out. They are like little children to me.

9. What is your favorite part about being book blogger?

Above pic has nothing to do with my answer, but I felt like putting memes in this post and this one felt so accurate that I couldn’t say no!

I love everything about blogging. The writing, the interaction, reading others posts, commenting, looking for pictures, and coming up with new ideas. I love it all! No true favorites in this post!

10. Share a pic of you and your book bestie, cause we all need one of those.

Sadly accurate…

The Book Fests Award

Thank you to Aldana @ Perfection in Books for nominating me for this fun award! Aldii has such a beautiful blog and personality, I love her aesthetic!

  • Answer the award questions that will be listed below.
  • Write a Fifty Word Story, because it’s fun.
  • Award five or more bloggers with this Award.
  • Ask them a question of your making, you’ll like them to answer.
  • Put up the award image badge on your blog via image widget.

A book you started but never finished…but want to finish. What stopped you from continuing to read it?

Revival by Stephan King. It is really slow and there is not much going on inside it. It didn’t pique my interest much, but as the first book I ever started reading from Stephan King I wanted to do my best to finish it.
What elements attract you to a book, which makes you need to read it?

One of the most interesting things I find about books are the premise. If the book is surrounded by a unique idea that captures my attention I will definitely read it. I also love retellings, I’m a huge sucker for a good retellings. Plus, most fantasy and contemporary novels surrounding mental illness pique my interest.
Which books do you prefer, e-copy or hard copy?

Usually I would say a physical copy, but thanks to netgalley I’ve been really into e-books lately so I really don’t mind either way.
What book are you currently reading or going to read next?

I am currently reading 3 different books, Mask of Shadows, Use the Force, and The Bone Season. I am more then halfway through with all of them so I look forward to reviewing them all very soon!

The book I’m looking to read next is The Suffering Tree I’m doing my best to increase my netgalley ratio which is at 50% right now so after Mask of Shadows and this book it will be up to 70%.
Is it fair to judge a book by its film?

No, you can’t judge a book by it’s film or a film by it’s book. They are both two different mediums that accomplish things very differently.
What book did you badly judge by its cover and ended up loving?

Is it weird that this hasn’t happened yet? I sometimes judge a book by its cover, but most of the time I let the words speak for themselves. Usually if I don’t like a books cover I look to the synopsis, but I never think that a bad cover equals a bad book.
Which book character have you felt the most kin with and able to relate with?

Recently that has been Hawthorne from The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett. The way she sees the world reminds me of a younger me. The stories she creates from her loneliness are also things I can relate to.

Aldii’s question:

If you had to choose a genre to read for all your life (you won’t be able to read any other genre) which one would you choose?

Fantasy hands down! While I definitely read across most genres fantasy holds a special place in my heart and I couldn’t bare it if I couldn’t read the genre for the rest of my life. It is my comfort genre.
50ish WORD STORY:

There was a girl who saw the stars for what they really are. Gastric lights living and dying continuously before our eyes. She fell in love with all there parts. She understood the stars and was awed by them. She wished to live amoung them as particles of dust swarming around their firey bodies. 80 years past, as an old women she told her grandchildren her wish. Years after her death, her wish was granted, she soars now one with the stars. A part of the gorgeous lights that guide our way home.

Thank you all for reading! I hope you enjoyed this unique award. Let me know your thoughts in the comments, and as always:

Miranda Sings Award

Azia, thank you so much for nominating me for this award. This sort of this tugs at my heart, because it is always so easy to be negative towards yourself at times and it’s so important to step back and feel happy for the good. Read Azia’s post here!

The Rules:

  • Announce your win with a post, and link the blogger who nominated you.
  • Include the featured image on your blog post.
  • Nominate 10 bloggers (or as many as you can think of) and link your awardees in the post.
  • List 7 things you love about yourself. (This can be about your appearance, your personality, your achievements, etc.)
  • Don’t use negative connotation (i.e. Don’t say things like – “I’m prettier than an average person.” or “People have told me I’m smart.” You are pretty. You are smart.)

Things I love about myself:

  1. My ability to believe even when it is difficult. My biggest strength is that even when I am at my lowest, I get mad at myself and snap out it. I continue to believe that things will get better and they always do. Everything comes to an end at one point or another. I try not to hold on to negative emotions as much as possible.
  2. My eyes, I love my eyes. They are honestly my favorite attribute of myself. They change colors dependig on the lighting from grey to blue to green. Once I was told by a friend that one eye was green and one eye was blue, and I was so shocked and happy. I find my changing eye color to be pretty cool!
  3. I love my love for diversity. I believe that all cultures should be celebrated and respected and that in the end we all bleed the same, and we all have the same basic troubles. All humans are beautiful, and I will fight for that truth till the day I die.
  4. I love my clumsiness. It may be emabarassing at times, but it is part of who I am. It has been cause for so much laughter and it shows that as much as I try to be tough, I am still human and it is nothing to be ashamed of.
  5. I love that despite my clumsiness I never fall when I trip. The amount of times I trip would probably be an amazing feat in itself, but I never fall. (For ex. I used to ice skate when I was younger and there was this huge guy in hokey gear that ran into me and I surprisingly didn’t fall.) this god sent gift has probably saved my and my dogs life more than once. (The amount of times I have tripped on my dog Gypsy is ridiculous, ‘sorry Gypsy’)
  6. My fierce loyalty and protectiveness. I would do anything and everything to protect those I care about no matter what.
  7. My love of reading! I love that I love to read, it has made my life so much better and it helps you to understand and get exposed to so many wonderful and unique things. Reading is one of my greatest joys!

The Entertainer Blogger Award

I was nominated for The Entertainer Blogger Award by Diana Prince Reviews! Diana has an inspiring blog that I absolutely love to read, if you haven’t already please check her posts out.

For some reason I could not find the original Award photo, and so I created my own that I hope you all enjoy. I know this probably looks nothing like the original, but for some reason I always lean toward a more grungy feel for things.

The Rules
1. Thank the person who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

2. Add these rules to your post.

3. Answer all the questions below.

4. Display the award picture in your post.

Nominate 7 other bloggers who are funny, inspiring and most important of all ENTERTAINING!
Q1. Why did you start a blog in the first place?

I started my blog on October 14th, 2016, thanks to the nagging of my sister to stop simply talking aloud about the books I love, but to post online and share my thoughts there. Besides, she also thought that it would be a great place to develop and share my writing, in hope that I might eventually get discovered or at the very least find my place amongst the fray.

Q2. What is your favourite book?

My favorite book at the moment is A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly. I read it this past December and fell utterly and completely in love with it! It made me want to read and never ever stop.

Q3. What do you dislike the most?

In all aspects of everything I dislike prejudice of any kind, but I hate when a certain prejudice is normalized, like it is something that is ok to feel and express. To me, we are all unique and beautiful humans, there is no reason to have prejudice just because someone acts, thinks, looks, or believes differently from yourself.

Q4. What is your favourite food item from the mall?

I love the Rajas con Queso tamales from the tamale house in the mall. They are delicious, especially with chilie.

Q5. What is your favourite pastime?

Well, reading books of course! This blog wouldn’t exist if that was not the truth. Traveling through time and space in a book is incredible. Everything that can be thought of is contained between pages of books.

I Nominate:

The Little Reading Blog

The Liebster Award

I am happy and proud to say I was nominated by Amy @Curiouser & Curiouser for the Liebster Award! Amy has a wonderful bookish blog that will help satisfy your cravings for all things book related! Check out her most recent post here.

  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you.
  • Answer the 11 questions that the blogger gave to you.
  • Nominate at least 5, but no more than 11 bloggers who you think deserve the award.
  • Tell those bloggers you nominated them!
  • Create 11 original questions for the next nominees to answer.

Amy’s Questions:

1. If you were stranded on a desert island and you had three books with you, what would they be?

I can’t help but feel that if I could only bring three books with me to a deserted island I would be so depressed and agonized at having to choose that I would end up never going at all, but I know I must go and choose 3 books to keep and so they would be, A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly, even though it would depress me because it is a spark for book love, Replica by Lauren Oliver because I haven’t read it yet and I really want to, and The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern because it is a beautiful escape from reality.

2. If you could meet any famous person, alive or dead, who would you meet and why?

I want to say that I would meet Jesus just to know him, to speak with him personally, to see him knowing who he is and what he inspires would be an experience that would shake my world.

3. What is your favourite Disney/Pixar film?

One does not simply choose a favorite Disney movie…. however I am in the mood for watching Mulan.

4. E-reader or physical book?

Physical book all the way, unless a story is on wattpad, I love the conversations and interaction that stories start on that site!

5. What’s your favourite social media platform?

Does WordPress count? It may not be social media, but it is the platform that has sparked the most meaningful interactions for me.

6. If you could move you a different country where would you want to live?

Anywhere I could do some good, I have so many places I want to see that are beautiful, but if I am going to live somewhere I want to be sure I can make an impact.

7. Which book/film genre do you dislike the most? Why?

I almost read this as ‘which book/fill do you hate the most?’ and I had flash-backs to reading the Red Badge of Courage (what a nightmare), which in a way is great because there really isn’t a genre I hate, I think there is a good book/film hiding in every genre out there.

8. Which Hogwarts/Ilvermorny house are you in?

I’m so sorry! This is where you realize that I am one of the rare book loving individuals that has yet to read Harry Potter or really watch the movies. I have no idea what house I would be in. I am a sad muggle, not meant for wizardly sorting hat love.

9. Which blog post did you most enjoy writing in 2016?

The very first one! It’s crazy how much a whim could create so many amazing opportunities, build so much confidence, and create such joy in such a short time?

10. Why did you choose your blog’s theme?

I picked it because it was simple and pretty, something that I could build upon for the future.

11. What are you looking forward to in 2017? Blog-related or otherwise

I am looking forward to whatever life chooses to throw at me. I believe that my life has been directed by fate, everything occurring randomly yet in a way that is just right. I await the good and the bad and everything in between. I look forward to growing through my experiences and to the people that will enter and surprise me in my life this year.

Questions from Book Princess Reviews

1. A Must Have Question: favorite Disney Princess? If you’re not a fan of the Princesses (le gasp), favorite Disney movie?😉

If you had asked me this question when I was a little girl I would have said Cinderella, hands down, but because your asking me now, I have to say I love Belle, not only does she love books, but she sees the beauty in the beast.

2. What is the first book you remember reading? Did you like it?

The first book I remember reading is Thumbalina, it was the only book, along with the ugly duckling, that I really enjoyed reading.

3. Have you always loved reading? Is there a time where you ever quit?

When I was little I didn’t care for reading. All I wanted to do was watch tv a.k.a Disney Channel a.k.a Disney Princess movies. (My favorite color was pink and I wore princess dresses and played with dolls and everything) The first book that got me interested in reading was Twilight in the 5th grade, from there on our I was a goner.

4. If you were stuck on a desert island (happens all the time), what three to five books would you take with you?

This question makes me sad, why must I choose!

If I have to pick it would have to be: A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly, The Giver by Lois Lowry, Impulse by Ellen Hopkins, and the last two would be random because I can’t deal.

5. If you could go anywhere in the world (or outside of it), where would you go?

I would want to go to a random yet beautiful location that hasn’t been discovered previously. Then, I could name the area and explore all its secrets like the explorer I wish I could be.
Questions from Ya and Wine

1. If you could meet any author, who would it be and what would you say to them?

I would meet my fantasy idol, the queen of the Fae, the dragon master, Julie Kagawa. I don’t know what I’d say I would probably come up with a really awesome speech and end up forget it all and just stare at her for an abnormally and uncomfortable amount of time.

2. What bookish destination would you most want to visit?

I want to go to the wonderland written about in Splintered, such a crazy and wonderful place to be.

3. If you could share a conversation over a glass of wine with any book character, who would it be?

Hawthorn from the Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett, because a conversation with her would be so random and amazing. I probably could never be bored if I got the chance to speak with her.

4. If you could live inside the fictional world of any book, which one would you choose?

I would love to live in The Night Circus, I would get to travel all over, but would never see anything more spectacular than the beauty of my own evolving traveling home.

5. If you could get your hands on an ARC of any 2017 book, which one would it be?

Caraval please! I just said I wanted to live in a circus. I need more circus books in my life.
Questions from Tizzymatic

1. How many books are in your TBR list? If over a thousand, why fam, why?

If you mean on goodreads…. well… I do have over a thousand books on goodreads I want to read. If you mean the tbr I actually use (the books I own and haven’t read) it’s about 44.

2. Are you enjoying blogging? If so, why? If not, why?

This is the question I needed to gush about how much I am loving the blogging community! Seriously, everyone is so supportive of one another and I never expected how much I would love this community. I have only been blogging for 3 months and they have been some of the best months of my life.

3. What is your all-time favorite book or series?

The Giver by Lois Lowry. This book was the first book that really got to me as a reader. I loved the message behind it. I feel like I’ve memorized so many of its pages.

4. If you had 10 fingers/toes, how would you live life? Answer however you want.

I would have three fingers on each hand and two toes on each foot. I would survive the best I could and become a motivational speaker to students all over the world.

5. If you had the choice of having money longer than Pablo Escabar’s or saving me from……..Donald Trump, what choice would you make?

A net worth of over 30 billion dollars or saving you from Donald Trump. Hmmm….. this ones difficult. I assume this is life or death. The Donald is moments away from killing you and I have to choose to take lots of money or save you. If it means keeping you alive I would definitely choose to save you, or I could take the money and bribe Trump and he would let you go and I could use the money I have to feed the world. Yeah bribing it is.
Questions from A Book Nerd 13

I’ll be home for Christmas, it always makes me sad, but also hopeful. Especially since this year was the first year that I actually felt like I spent Christmas at home.

A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly. Read it for the first time this year during Christmas and I loved every minute of it.

One year I woke up to Reindeer tracks with feed spread all around and a piece of Santa’s suit was in the door with Santa’s license on the ground. To little me, nothing had ever been more magical.

Random: Do you lick or bite into your ice-cream?

Lick, unless I am feeling impatient, then chomp chomp it is.
