Authors I Haven’t Read Yet

So… there are many authors I will love Till the end of time and many more that have yet to write anything at all. However, there are some authors that I know are amazing and I want to read from, but I just haven’t gotten to… yet.

V.E. Schwab

No one is more disappointed then I am that I still haven’t read one word from this human’s books. Everything in my heart tells me that her books are epic, but I simply haven’t been able to get to read from her yet.

Rainbow Rowell

I finally got a book from Rainbow Rowell on my bookshelves after what feels like years of seeing how much people adore her novels. I think it’s finally time I see if her books are for me.

Angie Thomas

The Hate You Give is well-known for being a masterpiece. I have been wanting to read it badly since its release, but I still haven’t gotten my hands on a copy. I really hope to read this book soon!

Marie Lu

Not only is Marie Lu a fashion icon for me (I know weird thing to love about an author), by her books all sound incredible! I can’t wait to one day read something from her. She is an inspiration.

Nicola Yoon

This sweet author has some book out in the world that I know I would love to enjoy. Sweet fluffy books are ones that I enjoy when I’m not feeling too good and they always lift my spirits. So I would love to give her books a try!

Holly Black

Holly has a ton of books out in the world. So many that I don’t know I haven’t picked up something of hers by accident. I have a feeling that I would love her work if I read it and hopefully I get to read from her soon!

Thanks for reading! There are probably many more authors out in this world that I would love to read from, but for now these are some that I honestly feel bad about not having read from. Hopefully, I get to read from them in the future! What authors do you wish to read from, but haven’t yet?

-Till next time! 🙂

To All Writers

Dear lovely fellow writer,

You have probably read more books then you could remember. You probably have read books that resonated with your soul. Books that have caused you to be in awe. Books that you have read over and over because they were just so good. Books that you learn something new about every time you read it. Books that you love.
The amazing thing is all books had to be written. Someone sat down and thought up a world with characters that have fascinated you. Someone that is no different from you. Just an ordinary person. Ordinary yet extraordinary.
Writers come from all sorts of backgrounds and walks of life. Yet every single one of them has a story to tell or better yet stories to tell. Things that need to be written down so that generations to come could read it. Stories that invaded their minds and yelled and screamed at them to be written. Stories that when they were first written were awkward and unpolished. That through the time and care of the writer became amazing examples of the written word.
Writers are truly amazing human beings whom take a lot of time out of their days just hammering out words to construct a story. Writing is never easy. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and just growing up. Writing is something that requires you to grow as a human being and discover who you are. Writing is intimately connected to your soul. It is an expression of who you are and what you dream of. A lot of the time quite literally what you dream of.
Writing requires you to care about what you write about and to love it. To want to care for it and lead it on its path to becoming the best version of itself. It is carrying out an initial idea and fleshing it out till it becomes this beautiful and unique story. The only way to write a story exactly like another’s is through copy and paste. Let your ideas shine and become what they are meant to be.
Good writing isn’t a natural diamond in the ruff, but creating a diamond from the ruff. It takes a lot of chiseling and mixing things up, but the ending product is always worth it.
To all writers I want to say that you are the reason I live the happy life I love. Your books put a smile on my face and excitement in my heart. Being able to be the kind of person that sits themselves down to write something even if it might be terrible at first is such an admirable quality. Every single author out there is such a great mentor for me. You are all the kinds of light I aspire to be.

Thank you for reading! This is another excerpt from my old wattpad novel, but also something I wanted to share for how much I appreciate authors. They truly are special little gems.

A Day Without A Woman: Strong Woman Authors

Today is a day for solidarity. To celebrate who we are and beauty of our strength, and so today I want to celebrate a few of the strongest women authors that have used there voice in support of their beliefs.

Feminist to the Bone Woman Authors:

Victoria Aveyard

I can’t say how much I admire and look up to Victoria Aveyard. She is unapologeticly who she is. The strength in which she stands against injustice makes me love her. She is not only an amazing author, but an all around amazing human being

Sophia Amoruso

Author of #GirlBoss, Sophia is one of the most vocal voices for the rights of women and what it is to be feminist today. I love her style and the way she uniquely vocalizes her beliefs. She is an inspiration for all.

Amanda Lovelace

The poet behind The princess saves herself in this one Amanda has been advocating for being the best woman you could be for a very long time. I haven’t yet read her book, but the few poems I have seen around of hers have been calling my name. Short and sweet her poems have created a huge impact on woman everywhere.

J.k. Rowling

This list could never be complete without including the wizard queen, J.K. Rowling. She is not only one of the most amazing writers out there, but she is also one that uses her voice to empower women everywhere. The story of how she came to be published is such an inspiration to me. Her voice is one that stricks the hearts of millions.

Leigh Bardugo

I may not have read anything from Leigh yet, but I really and truly want to. The voice she has on twitter makes me smile. She is so supportive of fellow women and her efforts make me so happy to see. Soon I will read from her, I promise myself that.

Angie Thomas

The lovely Angie Thomas! Her advocation for all rights is so admirable to me. The Hate U Give is a book I can’t wait to get my hands on. She is a writer that is a part of a huge movement in the Bookish community, the movement for more diversity.
Jenny Han

Jenny Han is such a beautiful writer. She supports feminism yet does in her own gorgeous style and I love that about her. She has such a no nonsense aura about her and in a way that’s something I love. She truly is feminine and strong.

Marie Lu

Known for some strong female characters Marie Lu has connected young women with her characters and has inspired them to believe in their selves and who they are. Another amazing voice for women everywhere.
Rupi Kaur

Last, but not least we have Rupi who’s poetry book Milk and Honey took the hearts of women and put it on a silver platter. Her raw emotions have encapsulated the growing trend of feminism and breaking the mold. Her story of rape and hardship breaks hearts yet sets a fire beneath the feet of the masses to advocate for change.
Thank you all for reading! I hope you enjoyed my tribute to the day. I didn’t post this till midnight because I wanted to do my own little rebellion of support for A Day Without a Woman. I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
