I decided to watch The Mandalorian solely for the love of baby Yoda memes. I wanted to watch the cuteness in action!
I loved making that decision! The Mandalorian was action packed and full of the cute that I was looking forward to. It’s such a quiet series, but I kinda liked just enjoying the universe it’s set in. I only watched one or two star wars films in my time and all way back when I was small, but being able to watch this was a ton of fun!
What a badass looking team! All for the protection of our special little one baby Yoda! I love that that’s basically what the whole story is. The Mandalorian protecting and caring for baby yoda. It’s a simple story, but great and very effective!
There’s the cutie! Such a mischievous little one! I am among the many who would die to protect him! I love him so much!
Some great baby yoda memes:
All I really care about in the Mandalorian is that it’s an adorable family taking care of the worlds oldest baby and it’s the best! I have nothing else to say except I love baby yoda and I will die on that hill.

She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.
Opening Sentence: “Dear Peter, I miss you.”
Musings:
The Culture. I love how they have Lara and Kitty explore their Korean heritage. From the food to what they wore on New Years the small touches were really beautiful.
Kitty’s Personality. Kitty is a feisty one. She’s full of life and loves to make trouble. I love having a little sister character that stirs the pot. She made the book so much fun to read!
The Game. Having a game between friends that has lasted throughout time was so much fun. I loved how seriously everyone took it. It was one of my favorite parts.
John Ambrose. I am 100% on John’s team here. I like him so much more then Peter. I feel like John fits Lara better. Plus, I think he’s just really good at romantic gestures and I’m such a sucker for them.
The story is simply cute. I love a cute story and this is that. There are some somewhat serious topics, but mostly this is a fun novel about a girl whose navigating first love and it’s lovely for it.
All in all:
P.S. I Still Love You is great! I very much enjoyed it. I had a great time reading it. Loved the characters and the fun of it. Was an amazing story.
Was the Film Better?:
I would say that the book was so much better then the film. A lot of the plot points that I loved in P.S. I Still Love You were taken out of the film and replaced. The story itself gets moved around in a way that felt off beat. Plus, a lot of the time the movie felt inauthentic in a way that the book was all authentic. I liked the film, but it was nowhere near the goodness of the book. I don’t think I’ll be rewatching the film.

I need to get my hands on some Christmas themed novels. The only book I’ve ever read even remotely related to Christmas is “A Northern Light” by Jennifer Donnelly. It looks like it would be a Christmas Novel, but it isn’t. However, I loved every moment of reading it!
Now on to the books I’d love to read!
In no particular order:
Decked With Holly by Marni Bates
This one is endorsed by Julie Kagawa, one of my favorite authors ever, so it’s a no brained that I would want to read this one!
My True Love Gave To Me by Various Authors
So many great short stories by so many incredible authors! I’d love to read them!
The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand
I didn’t realize this was a Christmas book. I wanted to pick this one up anyway, but now I love the idea of it all the more!
‘Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances’ by John Green, Maureen Johnson, & Lauren Myracle
You gotta have John Green in here. You just gotta.
‘Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe’ by Melissa de la Cruz
This is both a cover love thing and the fact that it’s Pride and Prejudice although I still haven’t read it yet. It looks adorable!
Well that’s all! I hope you enjoyed this list!

I just got done watching probably one of the cutest and most romantic Christmas movies I’ve watched. It has everything I love about a good romantic Christmas movie magic, curiosity, adorable moments, and absolute wonder. Christmas is the most magical time of the year. Falling in love during that time sounds like another kind of magic.
Emily receives a Christmas Calendar with little notes from a secret admirer. The whole town gets involved as each day the mystery unravels itself and everyone is wondering who is the guy? Overall, the concept is adorable. Who wouldn’t want to be wooed in such a creative and romantic way.
All the while a new baker comes to town and enters competition with Emily and sparks start to fly. It awoke the part of me that deeply desires to love and be loved. When the two were baking together and having a great time I wondered what I’d be like to have that one day with the person I spend my life with. I’m barely decent at baking so It’d be messier and more about figuring it out together, but I love that idea more.
Watching this I just felt that something in me light up that loves to love and deeply wants to spend my life having fun and learning and growing together with someone I love and who feels every ounce of that love for me as well. Something gentle and soft and kind. Something peaceful. Something I’ve tasted before and fell way too short.
Love is at the beating heart of what Christmas is to me. Love for your family. For your neighbors. Love for the people you work with. Love for those you like and those you don’t. And yes romantic love too.
This romantic little story does what every good Christmas film should, it inspires hope. It gives you all the warm and fuzzy feelings about what could and will be. One day, it’s fun to think about, what a Christmas would look like beside the guy that holds my heart. So I hold hope in my heart for that one day and all the one days that will come after.
What I also loved about the film was the mischievous actions from some of the characters that added a little spice and hilarity to the film. Some people live to cause chaos and having those chinks in the film was a lot of fun.

Today was a fun day for me. I got invited to watch Detective Pikachu with two of my coworkers that I’ve become good friends with recently. It was a pleasant surprise for me because ever since I heard Ryan Reynolds was going to play Pikachu in the film I knew I absolutely had to watch it at some point.
This is one of the most beautifully animated films I’ve seen recently, but what I mean by that is that the way they added Pokémon into the physical reality was pretty seamless. Sometimes it’s hard to suspend your disbelief with a film like this, but with detective Pikachu it was a lot easier then you would expect.
I must’ve awwed a thousand times during this film. All the Pokémon were just so adorable! Many of them I knew from my glory days of collecting Pokémon cards obsessively and playing Pokémon on my Nintendo DS what feels like a very long time ago (And lets be real watching Pokémon as a cartoon as a kid was one of my go to jams). I felt like a kid again watching my favorite pet companions come to life before me on screen. The nostalgia of it was one of the best feelings in the world.
Plus, watching the film with friends was one of the biggest bonuses ever. Even if I might’ve decided to pour out some chips at the wrong time and silent laughed my way through a particularly sad scene… But, you all came here to hear about the film and not my somewhat awkward and possibly inappropriate antics that transpired during said film.
Anyway, I loved this movie. It was sweet, lighthearted, and with a believable storyline. The action parts were incredible to watch. The animation was so well done it made my jaw drop at times. My only issue comes with the actual ending and I can’t really talk about it without spoiling the whole thing so I’m not going to.
Honestly, I just wanna share some photos of Pokémon I loved just in appreciation for how well they animated everything:
Pikachu of course was adorable and I wanted to hug him every 5 seconds and was increasingly sad and irritated to know that that would be impossible.
Honestly, if the Mime was real this would be what he’d look like. Plus, the way they animated his movement and used his powers in his scene was so well done and it came out with a wonderful humorous flare. I loved it.
In motion the squirtles were some of the most adorable creatures ever. A photo doesn’t capture it in quite the right way.
Jigglypuff looks utterly adorable here and I will forever love her for the rest of my life!
As this snubull shows, I feel like realistic fur is one of the films biggest strong suits.
Then there is lickitung the one Pokémon that managed to gross me out, but also I still had appreciation for the animation.
Other then the amazingness of the animation and the wonderful nostalgia I had watching the film everything else I loved feels like a spoiler and I really want as many of you to watch this movie for yourselves. So I’m going to leave this here.
