A Quote for Your Day

This quote means so much to me. My family means so much to me and I love them more then anything. They not be blood of my blood, but they are the people who chose to be in my life and who raised me to be the person I am. Sometimes I get filled with such overwhelming appreciation for them that I have to share it that is what this post is.

An Inspirational Quote for your Week

I am a person that always says I will do something the next day and it never happens. This quote inspires me because sometimes the answer is simply to let go of all excuses and just do it. To finally do all the things you want to do and stop doubting yourself. One of these tomorrows will be the last tomorrow, so why not so what you want to do today?

I hope you have an inspiring week!

Stars Can’t Shine Without Darkness

When I feel low and everything feels like it’s crumbling around me, I do everything in my power to find a way to see the light. Then, once everything starts to get better I sit back and wonder about the time that came before. I ponder my actions and others and I think about how I could have reacted differently.

Then I think about the darkness. The negativity, the anger, the emotions I wish would drip away from me instead of stick to me like gross syrup. I wonder if it’s really true that all my negative experiences have made me a better me, or if life is just the way it is and that’s all there is. I like to hope that is not the case. That we all really are shining lights that burn brighter because of the dark, because we wish to act against injustice and do more for those around us.

Thanks for reading! This is simply a short musing I just happened to be thinking about at the moment.

The #1 Best Quote: According to Brainy Quote

I love quotes and I was curious to see what the number one quote would even be and how interested in it I would actually be.

The following is the #1 quote on brainyquote:

The quote I did find to be beautiful. I can understand why it would be #1 even if there are hundreds of quotes that I might resonate with more closely then even this one. It is the truth of it or rather the cliche of it that gets to me. It is meant to be powerful and it is but after a long time of hearing things like this it grows hollow, but then cliches feel like cliches only because they are so popular. It starts to feel like words for everyone and not words for yourself.

Words are powerful and some words empower masses, but if you can empower just one person by your words alone you have something special within you. I have many words that have been said to me that I carry around in my belly like other good foods. The best words are nourishment for the heart and Hellen Keller’s are certainly just that.

Thanks for reading! Let me know your thoughts down in the comments.

The Book Thief: The Story with the Best Quotes

I read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak for the first time last year and instantly fell in love. It is one of those books that is so beautiful and sorrowful that it grabs at some part of your mind for you to never forget it.

As one of the most quotable novels I have ever read I give to you my favorite quotes from The Book Theif!

I still remember how I felt reading this book. Having to take little breaks here and there to cry. I remember my heart soaring as I wrote my little review on goodreads and feeling as though I had just finished reading something truly profound. Most of all I remember the shivers I felt whenever I read something that impacted me and how it happened all the time.

If you haven’t read The Book Thief please give it a shot. It is a gorgeous novel that shook me to the core.

Thank you all for reading! I hope you enjoyed this little post! Let me know what you think of The Book Thief and these quotes in the comments!
