Sisters of Twilight: Our Most Purchased Candle

Me and my sister are the owners of Sisters of Twilight! A soy candle company where everything is made by hand by us.

A recent addition to our shop has been super popular recently a candle we call Peace. This is how it looks on our website:

Since we added this candle we’ve gotten 8 separate orders of multiples and 2 wonderful reviews:

During a pandemic, seeing all the love and care my sister puts into the making of these candles and seeing her thrive has made me so happy. I would love to see the day we could both make this our full time job together. If you love candles and wish to support me and my sister in our small business check out our website!

5 Quotes from 5 Books: A Game

Let’s play a game!… in the least creepy of ways (no dangerous saw contraptions here). I will list a series of 5 books and underneath them will be randomly placed about quotes that you must take a guess about what quote belongs to what book. Email me your answers to wolfetiana@yahoo.com to win a little special something for your time. Each prize will be unique and I will do my best to tailor it to you and part of the fun is in the suprise!

Anyway on to the books!

The Dead House, The Diviners, and Deep Blue

Eona and To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before

A. But what was the point of living so quietly you made no noise at all?

B. I am a prisoner of my skin. My bones are my cage.

C. You’d rather make up a fantasy version of somebody in your head than be with a real person.

D. Men were always quick to believe in the madness of women.

E. You fear you will fail at the very thing you were born for. And your fear torments you…instead of shunning your fear, you must let it speak and listen carefully to what it’s trying to tell you. It will give you good counsel.

Remember! Once you think you’ve got the answers correctly email me at wolfetiana@yahoo.com and tell me which quote you think belongs to which book! Answers in the comments immediately disqualify you from winning a prize.

Thank you for your participation! I’m excited to see how you all do! I’ve been wracking my brain to see what I could do to give back for all of the support that I’ve been getting on the blog and I thought that doing something like this could be a whole lot of fun!

Before I go I just wanted to put a reminder out there that my kickstarter campaign to start up my book subscription box has 29 days to go! Please pledge your support at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/918284718/the-raven-book-crate

Anything you can do to help is immensely appreciated!

A Bookish Candle Connection

A little special something I’ve been hiding behind dark corners since even before this blog began is that my sister and I are proud owners of a Candle business called ‘The Candle Caffe‘. We handpour 100% natural scented soy candles made in small batches with love in our hearts.

I kept it seperate from the blog because I got the odd sensation that it wasn’t quite the right time to mention it nor did I know quite how to bring it up. However, I am feeling like my worries were poorly rendered and I had no reason to fear, and pretty soon, it will have a Bookish touch for all you lovely book-lovers like me! 😉

Here is the first of my personal Bookish touches:

The second is a candle called Dragon’s Blood that smells so amazing I just want to smell it all day long! It reminds me of fantasy lands and enjoying an adventure. I can’t wait to take some Bookish pictures for that candle!

If your interested, here is our list of scents:

French Lavender

Blackberry

Eucalyptus & Spearmint

Lemon Verbena

Gardenia

Frankincense & Myrrh

Nag Champa

Sweet Pea

Rose

Lavender Sage

Dragon’s Blood

Tuberose

and

Orange Chili Pepper

I honestly love all our scents and I am simply the kind of person that loves candles in general. We always have a candle burning in the house and it always smells so good!
Thanks for reading! I know this isn’t the typical post that you would see from me but, I simply felt like sharing something I am incredibly proud of. I hope you enjoyed this post and if you like candles I hope you check out The Candle Caffe! 🙂

Celebrating The Little Things Tag

I am so excited to be doing this tag, it feels so good to celebrate some of the best parts of blogging, the people. Those bloggers in the community that have been a huge support, giving them a little bit of appreciation.

To Birdie Book Worm, thank you for tagging me! To everyone reading this, check out her blog it’s so much fun to read and she is just all around amazing!

The Questions:

Who is your very first follower (if you can find out) Tag them and give them a shout out!

I feel really bad about not being able to answer this question. I am so sad that I can’t find out who my first follower was. So, for now, I am just going to thank the first person who believed in my abilities. The person who has inspired me and kept me sane. My mom, not only is she my biggest supporter, but she does her best everyday to make sure every person is taken care of. I love her so much and I am glad for the opportunity to thank her.

What was the last milestone you reached?

Just yesterday, I woke up to finding out that I had received 1,000 total likes on The Book Raven, which is absolutely insane. Just thinking about how much love and support I have been receiving in the short time I have been blogging has been amazing. I am so grateful, humbled, and inspired by this beautiful community.

What was the very first post you posted on your blog? Share it with us!

I am so proud of every post I create for this blog, but my first post will forever have a special place in my heart. I hope for the dreams I had at the start become a happy reality for the me of the future. Here is the link to my first post: Hello World!

Who was your most recent follower? Tag them and give them a shoutout!

My most recent follower is Book Slay who has a wonderful blog that I can’t wait to see more posts from. The posts are sweet and simple and I enjoy reading them a whole lot!

What was the last post you posted and who was the very first person who took their time to click the like button? Give them a shout out!

The latest post I posted was I Owe My Heart to Poetry a poem that celebrates poetry and the effect it has had on my life.

The first person to like that post was Pure Glory who has a very lovely and inspirational blog. These posts are a whole lot of food for the soul, delicious and good for you too!

How many months have you been blogging for?

It’s been three months and two days, which is absolute insanity for how much this blog has grown in such a short amount of time. I can’t believe how a push from my sister has turned into such an important part of my life in such a short time. I feel like I have been doing this for so much longer, but in reality it’s been basically no time at all. I love the community for this!

Do you have any bloggers your friends with? Give them a shout out!

There have been several bloggers I have been able to interact and learn from that I would love to shout out here.

Ava Who has such a lovely nerdy blog who is the biggest sweetheart with the biggest heart! I love her posts and hearing about both books and anime, two of my favorite loves.
Teacher of Ya Who is a huge support and activist for this community, her passion and advocating for ya literutre is both incredible and incredibly important.
Ya and Wine Whose blog is so beautifully unique with wine pairings that are simply stunning to see. She is such a wonderful person and I enjoy interacting with her whenever I get the chance.

Lia  Whose posts have made me think and whose project I am a proud to be a part of. Talking with her is wonderful and I am so happy that I found her blog.

Who originally created the last meme or tag you participated in? Give them a shout out!

The last tag I participated in was the Kiss, Marry, or Kill Book Tag a tag that I am very proud of as it was so fun to create!

I do not know who created this tag, but I will give a shout out to Birdie Book Worm for doing the tag so I could find it and explore its amazingness for myself!

Have you any social media related to your blog?

So far I have a Twitter @tiana_reads and an Instagram @the_book_raven !

Last but not least …. just say thanks to all your followers.

Thank you so much to everyone! To my followers, thank you for joining me on my bookish journey in life. To every person that I has liked and commented on one of my posts thank you so much for your continued support! To you, dear reader, thank you for being here without you these words mean nothing.

Celebrating 200 followers! So Many Feels

I never could have guessed that I would have grown so much so quickly. I can’t even fully comprehend it! 200 people, 200 physical flesh and blood human beings enjoyed my posts enough to press a button and follow me. It’s one of the most unprecedented and incredible feelings I have ever had in my life. I am forever humbled by everyone’s support.

This feeling is unreal. I couldn’t thank you all enough. I started this blog on October 14th, 2016, approximately 3 months ago. I was encouraged or rather demanded by my sister to create a blog about the things I love most books, writing, and poetry, but mostly books.  We spent several hours trying to come up with a name and I finally and happily decided upon The Book Raven (it felt right for the poetry portion) and so this blog was born. I tentatively posted my first post Hello World and fearfully let my words be heard for the first time. I told myself that if I am going to do this I am going to push myself to post everyday and with the disappointing exception of not posting for little more then two weeks in November I have stuck with it thus far.

In this short time, I never expected how much support and love this blog would get. It has been such an important boost to my confidence and to all my hopes and dreams that this has been such a source of happiness. This community is honestly the best and most positive community I have ever had the pleausure of being a part of. There are so many people here that I have come to look up to and so many that keep me inspired. I put my entire soul into every piece that I write and it delights me to no end that fellow bloggers have been enjoying it all.

It means so much to me, to hear this communities thoughts. It doesn’t matter if it’s a comment or a post. I simply love reading everyone’s posts. The biggest part of blogging for me is the communal sharing of thoughts. As much as I write my own, hearing others thoughts and opinions have helped me to grow most. It is so important to me that everyone’s voice is heard. Every thought is valid weither it is the same or different from my own.

It is so crazy to think that this is all possible. That you can write your thoughts and share them with so many. The amount of good that could be done, the amount of positivity that could be shared, and the many unique possibilities are endless. It makes me so excited to wonder what the future shall hold.

I want to thank you, dear reader, for reading my thoughts, for supporting me and all the people in your life that you support. This is not just my own celebration for me, but a celebration of you and this community.

I may write the posts, but nothing would come of it if it weren’t for the support from you.

I want to do something special for this celebration and I want to thank and celebrate every one of you reading this, so I want to ask you what your passion is and what you love to do most as well as your favorite quote.

I want to create a post for you, that celebrates you. That is what would make me happiest. To celebrate every person as the wonderful individuals you all are.

Thank you all for reading! Your support is incredible.
