Best book and/or series that you’ve read in 2016

The best book I read in 2016 has to be A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly I can repeat enough how much this book made me feel. I can’t believe I had that book on my shelves for months before I read it.

For best series completed in 2016 I have to go with the Splintered series by A.G. Howard this series had so much wonder hidden inside it. I am so glad I got to finish reading it in 2016. Plus I will forever be talking about how big a crush I have on Morpheus and how much I wish he was real. I love him so much!

Authors that you’ve recently found and would like to read more of in the new year

Libba Bray and Samantha Shannon

Libba Bray is the author of The Diviners a book that I am really excited to get into and I hope that along with that I get to read many more of her books in the future.

I can’t wait to read The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon, I keep hearing so many good things about it and I hope it’s the start of reading many more of her books.

Most anticipated book turned movie/tv show?

Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie I loved this book when I read it in school and I am so excited that a new movie is coming out for it on November 22nd! It’s going to be fantastic to enjoy this books mysteries once more.

Name a character that you wouldn’t mind sharing a kiss with at midnight (if there is one)

Mr. Rikkard Ambrose, he is the first person who came to mind and the one I have had the biggest crush on for the longest time. He is perfection in so many ways! I have to say that Storm & Silence by Robert Their is complete perfection and had me laughing aloud on more then one occasion. If you are so inclined read it off wattpad here. You will not regret it for a second.

What’s on your TBR for 2017? (Top 5 will suffice if it’s an extremely long list!)

Random 5 being:

How many books do you hope to read in 2016?

I am hoping to read at least 60 books. I think that it is a pretty reasonable goal.

Will you participate in the Goodreads Reading Challenge or any others (PopSugar, Read the Books You Buy, etc.)

I am indeed participating in the Goodreads reading challenge as well as:

The 2017 keyword reading challenge

Any New Year’s Resolutions? (Bookish, blogging, and otherwise)

On the first of the year I had so many improvements to be made dancing in my head so I put them all in a New Years Resolutions post here.

To tag or not to tag…. that is the question.

Since it is already a week in the new year I am deciding not to tag anyone, but if you do wish to participate, feel free to do so!

Once again have a Happy New Year!

Thank you all for reading! Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

The Jingle Bell Tag

Christmas is my favorite time of year and I am so glad to celebrate my first Christmas blogging about my favorite things of all, books! I am so excited to be tagged by the lovely Heather @ The Sassy Geek to do The Jingle Bell Tag created by Richard @ The Humpo Show!

“All I Want For Christmas Is You…” | What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree?

“The Wrath & The Dawn” by Renèe Ahdieh! I have wanted to read this book since the moment I first heard whispers about it. If I got this book for Chrsitmas I would stop everything and read it immediately. I need a fun fantasy in my life!

“Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time…” | What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most?

Why must I choose for this question?!?! I have read so many amazing books this year it is so hard to choose! I am going to cheat and choose two, “The Night Circus” by Erin Morgenstern for its gorgeous imagery and sugary intrigue and “The Book Thief” by Marcus Zuzak for making me cry and feel so happy all at once.

“It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” | Which book has most festive look to it?

“Incarceron” by Catherine Fisher the cover is beautiful and although it has nothing to do with Chistmas, the look of it gives me many a Christmas vibe.

Elf | What book unleashes your inner child?

The Warriors Series. I may not have read very many of them, but just thinking of their cat covers reminds me of elementary school.

The Grinch | Your favourite villain…

Lord Ido from “Eona” by Alison Goodman I loved how much I was torn between loving and hating this man. He changes so much in Eona.

The Holiday | Name your favourite TWO couples…

Katsa and Po from “Graceling” & Marco and Celia in “The Night Circus”. Katsa and Po have one of the most open and wonderful relationships I have read about. They are so lovely together! Marco and Celia play this long haul dance that has me wanting more from them all the time.

What book would you like to give as a present to your followers?

A physical copy of “Storm and Silence” by Robert Their. This book is everything to me. It can be read for free off of wattpad but I wish for every booklover to have a paperback copy with all the lovely extras! (I wish I had this too 😦 add this to my book I wish I got for Chistmas section!) this book is hilarious and so so wonderful!

Thank you so much for reading! If you love Christmas and books consider yourself tagged! This was such a fun post to write! Thank you so much Heather for tagging me!
