So… there are many authors I will love Till the end of time and many more that have yet to write anything at all. However, there are some authors that I know are amazing and I want to read from, but I just haven’t gotten to… yet.

V.E. Schwab

No one is more disappointed then I am that I still haven’t read one word from this human’s books. Everything in my heart tells me that her books are epic, but I simply haven’t been able to get to read from her yet.

Rainbow Rowell

I finally got a book from Rainbow Rowell on my bookshelves after what feels like years of seeing how much people adore her novels. I think it’s finally time I see if her books are for me.

Angie Thomas

The Hate You Give is well-known for being a masterpiece. I have been wanting to read it badly since its release, but I still haven’t gotten my hands on a copy. I really hope to read this book soon!

Marie Lu

Not only is Marie Lu a fashion icon for me (I know weird thing to love about an author), by her books all sound incredible! I can’t wait to one day read something from her. She is an inspiration.

Nicola Yoon

This sweet author has some book out in the world that I know I would love to enjoy. Sweet fluffy books are ones that I enjoy when I’m not feeling too good and they always lift my spirits. So I would love to give her books a try!

Holly Black

Holly has a ton of books out in the world. So many that I don’t know I haven’t picked up something of hers by accident. I have a feeling that I would love her work if I read it and hopefully I get to read from her soon!

Thanks for reading! There are probably many more authors out in this world that I would love to read from, but for now these are some that I honestly feel bad about not having read from. Hopefully, I get to read from them in the future! What authors do you wish to read from, but haven’t yet?

-Till next time! 🙂

  1. It’s not only you, I feel like I’m so behind in reading other authors! It’s especially terrible because I haven’t even read any books by all the wordsmiths I’ve met in person! I’m glad you’ve written out this list, having somewhere to start like this might help me catch up a bit.

      1. I’ve only met them because I’ve gone to a few author networking events as a result of being an author myself! It’s a little harder to find events to meet authors if you are a reader, I think.

  3. All these authors are some of my favorites! With the exception to Angie Thomas, whose book I have also not yet read. I’ve had The Hate U Give for a year now and haven’t even cracked it open. I really do plan to someday though…Hope you manage to get around to reading all their fabulous books and end up loving all or (at least) some of them! 😀

  4. I’ve read everything Rowell has written (and love it), and am slowly making my way through Black’s list of books (and am loving them). The others I have also not read, but I’ve picked up ADSOM a couple of times for it not to have stuck. I will get there though! Good luck 😊

  5. I haven’t read Rainbow Rowell either. I hear lots of good things about Fangirl though. I love Schwab and Nicola Yoon’s The Sun Is Also a Star is one of my favorite contemporaries. I personally think The Hate U Give is an essential novel. Hope you get a chance to try out all these authors!

  6. I haven’t read anything by Schwab yet either! Although I do own the ADSOM-books already but I simply haven’t gotten around to it. As for Marie Lu and Holly Black: LOVE THOSE TWO. I’ve yet to read The Young Elites-series, but I did read Warcross and the Legend-trilogy. Liked those! Loved Warcross, really. And Holly Black is simply.. ❤

As for authors I haven't read anything from YET.. Patrick Rothfuss, Schwab [as said], Philip Pullman, Tahereh Mafi, Sabaa Tahir… Just to name a couple. :')

  7. Angie Thomas and Marie Lu are both author’s I haven’t read yet too. I’ve read some chapters from V.E. Schwab but personally I didn’t gel with her writing style – I keep meaning to give her another chance but I don’t want to fall into the trap of feeling pressured to reading popular authors again as last time it drove me away from reading. I’ve loved everything from Holly Black that I’ve read and Nicola Yoon’s writing style grabs me and pulls me in; I think I read both of her books in under a day each.
